STATEMENT OF PURPOSE: In D.A., our purpose is threefold: to stop incurring unsecured debt, to share our experience with the new comer, and to reach out to other debtors.

In her report to the 2006 World Service Conference (WSC), the GSB chair called for a recommitment to our primary purpose, to not debt one day at a time. This report inspired the 2010 WSC Literature Committee to bring a motion to Conference approving a second edition of A Currency of Hope.
